COMMISSIONER DONATES BOOKS TO TEN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

The Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide has reached out to school pupils on Lagos Island with the donation of exercise books and biros.

Speaking during the presentation of the items to 10 different schools on Friday, Dr. Olumide said that leaders should endeavour to return to their roots and support the locals as the government could not do it alone.

The benefitting schools include the Christ Cathedral Primary School, Anglican Missionary School, Holy Cross Primary School, Ebute Elefun Primary School, and Tinubu Methodist Primary School.

Others are Lagos Island Local Government Primary School, Jamaitul Islamiya Primary School, St Peters Primary School and St Mary’s Girls Primary School as well as St Mary’s Anglican Primary School and St David’s Primary School.

The Commissioner, who remembered with nostalgia how he had benefited from public educational facilities and the inspirations of notable personalities, urged everyone to collaborate with the Lagos State Government in achieving the Greater Lagos vision through socially responsible acts.

The Chairman, Lagos Island Local Government, Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo expressed satisfaction with the gesture of Dr. Oluyinka Olumide and enjoined other well-meaning Lagosians to emulate his good deeds.

The Chairman, Lagos Waka Club 1945, Capt.
