LASG POSTPONES COMMEMORATION OF WORLD HABITAT DAY

The Lagos State Government has postponed the commemoration of the Y2023 World Habitat Day earlier billed for Tuesday, 3rd October.

The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, who made this known in Alausa at the weekend, said that the postponement was necessitated by the impending Labour strike, which might hinder public gatherings of that nature.

He said that the new date for the celebration would be Monday, 9th October, barring any elongation of the strike action should the Labour Union embark on it.

The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, regrets any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
