The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, has said that the State would, henceforth, descend on Property Owners and Developers found breaking government seals on any property that had been sealed for abuse of the Physical Planning Laws of the State.
The Commissioner, who disclosed this during the on-going Special Enforcement operations in Ikoyi, observed that some unscrupulous developers were in the habit of breaking government seals to carry out construction overnight, thereby endangering the structures as well as the lives of workers on site.

“41 of these structures were sealed on Festac Link Road in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, while the remaining 11 structures were sealed in Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area and Eti-Osa Local Government”, he said.
Speaking further, the Commissioner urged all Lagosians to be part of the vanguard to checkmate the menace of illegal building construction by tipping off the authorities about any illegal development.
