Engr. Oluwole Olumide Sotire -PERMANENT SECRETARY

Engr. Oluwole Olumide Sotire was born on the 24th of June 1968 into the family of Late Engr. Olusoga Sotire and Mrs. Olujumoke Sotire.
He began his education at St. Mary’s Private School, Ajele and
proceeded to the International School, Ibadan for his Secondary Education. In 1989, he graduated with
Honours in Civil Engineering from the prestigious
University of Lagos.
He went further to bag a Master’s
Degree in Construction Management in 1992 from the same institution.
Oluwole started his professional
career as a Youth Corper in Delta State, where he worked on various projects with the Design &
Construction Dept., Escravos
tank farm of Chevron (Nig.) Ltd. Post-NYSC, he moved on to DemabogNig.
Ltd. and Eshrow
Associates Ltd., where he served as Site Engineer and Design Engineer respectively.
Engr. Sotire joined the Lagos State Civil Service in April 1992 as an Executive Engr. GL 08 and steadily rose through the ranks to become Director GL 17 in July 2016. He has served in various capacities across the following MDA’s: Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development (formerly MEPP), Ministry of Works and Infrastructure,
Lagos State Public Works Corporation,
Ministry of Education and Ministry of Housing,
and Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development
where he served as Permanent Secretary before his redeployment to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
An astute professional, Oluwole Sotire, a COREN registered Engineer is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers. He is also a 2008 Awardee of the Lagos State Productivity Award.

Oluwafunmilayo
Sotire and they are blessed with 3 lovely children.
