Nwonah, Olubukonla Oluronke was born on the 18thof August, 1972 into the family of Mr. & Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwole who hail from Sagamu, Ogun State. She had her early education at Our Lady of Apostles’ Private Primary School, St. Agnes, Yaba in 1984. She proceeded to Federal Government Girls’ College, Calabar, Cross River State (FEGOCAL) where she obtained her Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1990. She gained admission into the prestigious University of Lagos, Akoka in 1991 where she obtained a Second Class Upper Degree (B.SC) in Mass Communication in 1996.
Olubukonla did her National Youth Service (N.Y.S.C) with the then Elf Oil Nig. Ltd. now known as Total Nigeria from June 1997 to June 1998 after which she worked briefly with Tanus Communications Ltd. Ikeja as a Media Relations Officer in 1998 before she joined the Lagos State Government as an Information Officer in the year 2000.
In pursuit for further education, she obtained a Master of Science Degree (M.Sc) in Mass Communication, University of Lagos in 2014/2015 set. Over the years, she has worked in various Ministries and Agencies of the Lagos State Government where she displayed exceptional sense of leadership and responsibility. In 2016-2017, she worked as the first female Public Affairs Officer at the Governor’s Office and presently she is a Chief Public Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Nwonah, Olubukonla is a devoted Christian, dedicated to duty and selfless in rendering service to Lagos State and humanity. Her hobbies include writing and counseling. She is blessed with four children.
