SANUSI MUKAILA OLABAMIJI – Head , Public Affairs

A career civil servant of almost two decades experience, member editorial board, Alausa Alert Newspaper, formerly Chairman, Lagos Information Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and member of State Executive Council of the Union. He has served as the Head of Public Affairs Unit in different Ministries and Agencies including the Lagos State Pension Board, Office of Overseas Affairs & Investment, Ministry of the Environment and now Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. He was pioneer head of Enlightenment Unit in the Ministry of Information and Strategy; Assistant Project Manager, Ministerial HIV/AIDS Campaign Committee; Communications Desk Officer UNDP 6th Country Programme and UNFPA 6th Country Progamme.

 

Mukaila Sanusi, an Assistant Director, Public Affairs, received several trainings from UNICEF on Communication Planning and participated actively in UNICEF B Field Office communication intervention in the UNICEF focal states of Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Edo between 2005 and 2011.

He served extensively in the execution of the grassroots communication aspect of the Eti-Osa-Lekki-Epe Road redevelopment project between 2007 and 2011.

He is a community leader, currently serving as the President of Abesan Estate Muslim Community, a community of over 2000 Muslims cohabiting with adherents of other faiths

He has served in the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Ministry of the Environment and Lagos State Pension Commission. He set up the Public Affairs office in the newly created Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment (Lagos Global).

He read International Relations at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and received further education at the University of Lagos and the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.
